Although studies suggest that green tea can promote weight loss, simply drinking tea is not enough to lose those extra pounds. You also need to monitor your diet and physical activity level. People who consume foods with high caloric content and have sedentary lifestyles will not obtain the same results as the study participants. If you drink green tea to improve your weight loss, you should combine this drink with greater physical activity and reduce the calories you consume.
The time it takes to lose weight by drinking green tea depends on several factors. Although some studies show weight loss results in just 12 weeks, your caloric intake and energy expenditure can greatly influence the results. You can see the results almost immediately as long as you are generating a calorie deficit.
