Egg white proteins
Eggs are a great source of protein that nature provides us. In addition, it is perfect for all those who are Lacto vegetarian diet because it allows them to get the animal protein they need for your body to function efficiently. And, in short, the egg is at the same height as the meat and fish in the food pyramid.
If we take an egg weighing 60 grams, we find that 7.5 of them are proteins. Therefore, if we talk about an adult of 75 kilograms, one of them can give you 10% of the protein you need a day.
Meanwhile, it notes that about 60% of the proteins present throughout the egg are contained in the clear. As if that were not enough, it also has plenty of magnificent nutrients for health. In this regard, it contains large amounts of minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, sodium and copper, and vitamin B12, niacin, folic acid, and riboflavin.
You also have to demystify that statement that says the egg fattening. In fact, an egg as already described, ie 60 grams, barely containing a total of 72 calories. The problem, in this regard, lies in how to cook because, in many cases, are usually made fried with plenty of oil. In any case, we note that, of those 72 calories, only 17 are in the clear, which, coupled with its high percentage of protein and nutrients, makes it an ideal food for athletes.
Clear is great food but what about the egg?
The yolk itself has more nutritional value than the egg. However, it also houses all fats which, when metabolized, will become cholesterol in the body, although it is true that they are much less harmful than saturated, for example.
On the other hand, we have also proposed dismantling that phrase, to be sure, few ever heard that says eating a raw egg is not healthy or that it is necessary to remove the yolk to make it safe. This literally no sense since all the eggs in their set of white and yolk are perfectly fit for human consumption, even if they have been cooked.
The problem of salmonellosis
The only problem that can result from the consumption of raw egg is containing the bacteria salmonella and, when eaten, generates a picture of salmonellosis, which is characterized by fever and abdominal pain. Such bacteria are removed by boiling the egg in water, although it is true that you can only take place under certain circumstances.
One of the main causes of the spread of salmonella through the egg is dirt and contact with animal feces. Therefore, our advice is that, if the shell is dirty (something not usually very common, for example, in markets and supermarkets) do not take them raw.
Why not squander yolk
Make a smoothie containing egg yolks is not, on the one hand, economic waste and, secondly, a loss of nutritional value. It should be borne in mind in this connection that the yolk represents 40% of the nutritional value and, in general, contains a greater variety of nutrients that clear, despite their fat.
Any human being can take a whole egg a day without that, therefore, their cholesterol levels are affected. Yes, provided they are raw or cooked, because, fry them, the amount of these harmful substances grows exponentially.
How to replace the egg yolk without losing nutritional value
The only way to replace the egg yolk without the nutritional value of food is a resentful look multiplying the amount of light. In this sense, this solution is, as already mentioned, only recommended for those who suffer from cholesterol problems or suffering risk of cardiovascular problems.
We must say that there are many recipes that can not be made without egg yolks. This is the case, for example, egg custards or homemade mayonnaise. And, without this, neither the texture nor the taste will be appropriate. Instead, in those recipes that are baked, as a rule, the yolk can be replaced by an additional clear without any problems.
Do they help the eggs to lose weight?
Eggs, as we said at the beginning of this article, contain a very small amount of calories and also provide a strong feeling of satiety. Therefore, they are ideal for people who are dieting as long as you take in the right way, ie without frying them or accompanying them with very fatty foods. They also provide a dose of really interesting proteins towards reaching the goals set during physical training to be the companion of any diet. In short, egg proteins possess identical to those of meat and fish quality. However, they contain very few calories, if it is true that houses the yolk cholesterol, so it is not advisable to abuse their consumption. In any case, an egg a day is an excellent nutrient for all kinds of people, from athletes to people who want to lose weight.
